(Emily had two sub-jumpers for her charity. We are crazy in Wisconsin but not crazy enough to have an expecting mother jump in an Icy Lake. That practice ended in the 50’s.)

Thank you so much to all of our customers who purchased a gateway between November 23rd – December 21st who helped support our cause! 5% of those sales were donated to help better our community and together we were able to donate THOUSANDS of dollars! The donation was split between employees who each got to chose their charity, but there was a little twist. Their portion was ONLY donated IF they did the Polar Bear Plunge into Lake Michigan on New Years Day! Here’s how it went.
The jump is tradition in Milwaukee on New Years day, so we were joined by hundreds of crazy Wisconsinites bringing in the New Year in the coldest way possible. The water in Lake Michigan was only about 35° that day, but that doesn’t sound too bad when the temperature outside was only about 17°! But don’t forget the wind chill! Once that got factored in, it felt like about 9°!
