Early 1990s: Rockwell, Honeywell, and Cincinatti Milacron work toward higher-level protocol. Their collaboration fell through, but this alliance started work that would end in the creation of DeviceNet.
Rockwell creates DeviceNet.
Rockwell first adapted CAN to the Industrial Automation industry.
1994: Rockwell releases DeviceNet for ODVA regulation.
