Production and Supply Chain Technician

We are looking for a Supply Chain Technician for a 30-year-old industrial automation company that embraces the energy and personality of a tech startup. This department is a diamond in the rough.

Responsibilities:

  • To schedule, produce, and ship items to customers according to engineering specifications in compliance with sales orders and defined procedures.
  •  Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system – including parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, test fixtures, and other equipment, packaging, and shipping materials
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement

Potential Growth Responsibilities:

  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; assesses total costs of company purchases and initiating corrective actions.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
  • Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company and identify and researches potential new suppliers
  • Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

To be successful today, besides having an imaginative and creative mind, you will need:

  • Understanding of basic electronics, functions of components, circuit boards, cables, and connectors
  • A good work ethic, eager to learn, accurate and thorough, tolerance for repetitive tasks, and dependable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • As a bonus, experience in a production environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Developing Standards and managing processes
  • Inventory Control and Procurement Management by Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
  • Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for a company
  • Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
  • Assesses total costs of company purchases
  • Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
  • Developing budgets, strong reporting skills, and capable of analyzing Information
  • Potential for travel annually
