Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Do you enjoy analyzing defects in order to improve products? We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for a 30-year-old industrial automation company that embraces the energy and personality of a tech startup.   • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply the testing process for new and existing product to meet customer needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, product managers, etc.) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defects densities and open defect counts)
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

To be successful, besides having an imaginative and creative mind, you will need:

  • Good time management skills.
  • 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 10% travel domestic and international annually
