Connect Modbus TCP/IP Servers to a BACnet MS/TP Controller
The 460MCBMS gateway enables moving data between up to 32 Modbus TCP/IP Devices and a BACnet MS/TP Building Automation System (BAS). It seamlessly integrates Modbus power meters, boilers, chillers, and other devices into your BACnet MS/TP Building Automation System. Moreover, the product, which is made in the USA, is always in stock and includes a 5-year warranty.
How Do I use the 460MCBMS in My Application?
For most applications the mapping is very straight forward. Map Modbus Register data to BACnet Analog objects and Modbus Coil data, which maps to Binary objects on BACnet. The only additional piece required for BACnet is adding meta data which is nothing more than an ASCII description of each object. No other deep understanding of either protocol is required to configure the gateway. It really is that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. Add 4 to a value, multiply by 4 and divide by 10 with ease.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460MCBMS provides an option to access Modbus TCP/IP Server devices on your BACnet MS/TP Manager. While there are certainly other companies offering protocol gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from Real Time Automation. When you call us, a live person answers the phone. If you talk with our sales team, you will get honest answers and recommendations. And rest assured, all the support you get is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t need a ticket or 24-hour wait. We get back to you as soon as possible. It’s an RTA promise.

What our Customers are Saying
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”
Eric P. / Kendall Electric
“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
