The 460MSA moves data between a Modbus TCP/IP Client and an ASCII device or system. It’s a simple solution that allows you to pass serial ASCII data to a Modbus TCP/IP controller. It allows you to interpret the ASCII data strings into meaningful data types for use in your controller.

How Does it Work?  

Up to 1024 ASCII characters can be parsed into up to 50 segments. Each segment can be assigned a data type and then mapped to a user defined register or coil locations. Up to 50 segments of data on Modbus can be concatenated together and delivered as string to your TCP/IP device.

It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. Need to add or remove delimiters between segments? It does that too.
