Gosh Darn It!
Due to some seriously cheesy mailing mishaps, our boss has put the kibosh on us sending casseroles out by mail. So instead, we are sharing our favorite tater tot casserole recipe with you.
If you make it (we promise it’s tasty), send us a photo via email to mktrocks@rtautomation.com and you betcha we’ll feature it on this page!
Real Time Automation’s Famous Tator Tot Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound of Wisconsin’s finest ground beef
- 1 pinch of salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can of condensed cream of mushroom soup – or – you can use cream of chicken – it’s a horse apiece
- 2 cups of real Wisconsin shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) package of frozen tator tots
Directions

Step one
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step two
Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink and completely browned for 7 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Drain. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir cream of mushroom soup into the cooked ground beef; pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer tater tots evenly over the ground beef mixture; top with real Wisconsin cheddar cheese.

Step three
Bake until tater tots are golden brown and hot, 30 to 45 minutes.
Enjoy!
Since it serves 8 people, make sure to invite your folks over and tell ’em we says “hi”.
