The Master-Slave dynamic means the network can diagnose potential issues, including:

Duplicate Addresses
Slave devices can detect when other devices have the same MacID and will shut down appropriately.
Lack of Communication
When a slave device does not receive an expected message in a timely manner, it displays a “Time Out” error.
