Access Your Allen-Bradley PLC Data from Any Web Client
There are thousands, if not millions of Allen-Bradley PLCs used in manufacturing applications globally. Many of these are ControlLogix and CompactLogix, but there are still many PLC5, MicroLogix and SLC controllers too; probably some in your factory. Now with the 460ETCWI, it is easier than ever to monitor Allen-Bradley PLC data from Excel or pull table values into your web applications. Using HTTP commands, you can present your PLC data values or JSON or XML files to your application.

You can also use the data to easily build an Excel log, a dashboard, archive data or create a sophisticated alarm system. The 460ETCWI gets you the data – you just have to make use of it.

How Do I get Allen-Bradley PLC Server Data?
There are only two steps to accessing your Allen-Bradley PLC Server data. First, you configure the 460ETCWI using the easy to use, browser-based configuration pages. You will identify the address of the Allen-Bradley PLC to access and the data tags you want to read. Then you map those values to attributes that can be named and grouped to create an XML or JSON data structure.

How Do I Use 460ETCWI-N2E in My Application?
In your GET you can request either a JSON or XML data string containing tags for the data table entries you configured. In XML, you will get something like 523. In JSON, you’ll get “Speed105”:523 for the same data table entry. The devices supports the commands GET, PUSH and POST

What Web Client Applications Can I Use?
You can access the JSON or XML tags from any web application tool including Python, PHP and other similar tools.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24-hour wait. Try the RTA difference today.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
