Control up to 32 BACnet MS/TP Devices from a Serial PLC5 or SLC PLC

You can now control a network of 32 BACnet MS/TP devices from a legacy Allen-Bradley serial PLC. It’s the perfect tool to save legacy PLCs from the scrap pile and control BACnet MS/TP devices directly from the serial port of PLC5s, SLCs, and MicroLogix™. You can now extend the function of the legacy PLCs your already have.

How Do I Use the 460BMDHM-D2E in My Application?

PLC data table values (File like N7:200 and F9:1) are mapped directly into analog and binary values. Input files from your legacy PLC are passed to the BACnet MS/TP devices. Output data received from BACnet MS/TP is written to your legacy PLC data table. No message instructions and no ladder. It really is that simple.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?

While there are certainly other companies offering protocol gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24-hour wait.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
