Get Your USB Barcode Scanners Connected Directly to your BACnet MS/TP Manager Device

The 460BMSUSB moves data between up to 2 USB devices like barcode scanners and a BACnet MS/TP Manager device. It’s the perfect tool to tie your USB devices to your BACnet MS/TP Building Automation System (BAS). Perfect tool for barcode scanners and printers.

How do I use 460BMSUSB in my application?
Incoming ASCII data from a USB device is mapped directly to Objects in your BACnet MS/TP Manager device. You set how often the gateway updates the data in the Manager. This update is cyclic, not event based. For event based processing, like most barcode scans, you can map an additional counter that increments whenever a successful message is received from the USB device.

If your device uses delimiters, the 460BMSUSB can be configured to automatically remove the delimiters, no need to deal with the delimiters in your Manager. If you need to parse your data, the 460BMSUSB can parse a string of ASCII data in up to 50 segments by delimiter or offset.

Why use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
While there are certainly other companies offering protocol gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.

When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24-hour wait.

Try the RTA difference today.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
