Connect Your Modbus RTU Server Devices Directly to Your Allen-Bradley PLC Data Table
The 460ETCMM connects 32 Modbus RTU devices to five Allen-Bradley PLCs, helping you integrate legacy or low-cost Modbus RTU controllers into an Allen-Bradley architecture. As a result, you’ll save your Modbus RTU devices from the scrap pile for years to come.
How Does the 460ETCMM Gateway Move Data In and Out of PLC?
In your Allen-Bradley PLC, you allocate two areas of tags or register blocks:
- A set of custom write-only tags or registers receiving data from Modbus RTU server devices
- A full set of read-only tags or register blocks to transmit data to your Modbus RTU server devices
Using a browser-based interface, you directly map Modbus RTU register and coil data into read and write locations in the data table of your Allen-Bradley PLC. It’s really that simple.
Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. The 460ETCMM allows you to modify data maps with up to three mathematic functions. Add 4 to a value, multiply by 4 and divide by 10 with ease.

What our Customers are Saying
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”
Eric P. / Kendall Electric
“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
Kevin L. / Extol, Inc.
