How Does the 460MCSC Protocol Gateway Move Data In and Out of the S7 PLC?
In your Siemens S7 PLC, you allocate two data areas:
- A user-defined set of output addresses for sending data to your Modbus TCP server devices
- A user-defined set of input-only addresses for receiving data from your Modbus TCP server devices
Using a browser-based interface, you directly map Modbus TCP server register and coil data into the designated Input (I), Output (Q) and Data Blocks (DB) within the data table of your Siemens S7 PLC.
Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Modify each data mapping with up to three mathematical functions.
