Get Your DeviceNet Master Connected to a Profinet IO Controller
The 460PSDS moves data between a DeviceNet Master device and a Profinet IO Controller like the S7. With the 460PSDS you are making a direct connection between DeviceNet data and user defined slots in your Profinet IO Controller.

How Do You Map the Data?
DeviceNet Master data will be mapped into 10 Profinet IO slots. Each slot will be assigned a type of Int8, int16, int32, int64, Uint8, Uint16, Uint32, Uint64, float, double, binary8, binary16, binary32, or Short String. The slot can consist of up to 128 bytes of data from your DeviceNet Master device.

When writing from your Profinet IO Controller to your DeviceNet Master device there will be up to 10 slots each defined by the same data type. Up to 240 bytes of data in those slots can be mapped to in up to 15 data groups to your DeviceNet Master.

It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. Add 4 to a value, multiply by 4 and divide by 10 with ease.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460PSDS provides an option to access DeviceNet Master device data on your Profinet IO Controller. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.

When you call a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales you will get honest answers and recommendations, even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
