Get Your USB Barcode Scanners & Printers Connected to Your Profinet IO Controller

The 460PSUSB moves data between USB devices and a Profinet IO Controller.

You now have a tool to map USB barcode scanners into a Profinet IO Controller. You also finally have a way to easily print data from Profinet IO controller.

How Does the Data Move In and Out of the Profinet IO Controller?

Incoming USB scanner data is mapped to a series of ten input slots on the Profinet IO network. Outgoing USB data is mapped from a series of ten output slots on the Profinet IO network. Up to 1024 characters can be transferred in both directions through the gateway.

It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. Add 4 to a value, multiply by 4 and divide by 10 with ease.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?

The 460PSUSB provides an option to access USB devices easily with your Profinet controller. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.

When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”

Kevin L. / Extol, Inc.
