Access your BACnet MS/TP Building Management System from a Web Client
With the 460BMSWI it is easier than ever to monitor your BACnet MS/TP control system data from excel or pull table values into your web applications. Use that data to easily build a Excel log, a dashboard, archive data or create a sophisticated alarm system. The 460BMSWI gets you the data – you just have to make use of it.
How do I use 460BMSWI in my application?
First, you configure the 460BMSWI using the browser-based configuration pages. You’ll identify the data set to expose on BACnet. This will identify the BACnet Analog and Binary points that will be available for you to read/write. Once that’s complete, you’ll map, name and group the data to be presented as XML or JSON files. Your application can issue standard HTTP GET or POST instructions to move data into your application. Up to 1000 data points can be moved.
It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. And you can access the JSON or XML tags from any web application tool including Python, PSP and other similar tools.
Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
While there are certainly other companies offering protocol gateways, there is no one who
provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA. When you call, a live person answers the phone. If you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24-hour wait.

What our Customers are Saying
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”
Eric P. / Kendall Electric
“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
