The 460MMBS moves data between up to 32 Modbus RTU Slaves and a BACnet/IP Building Automation System (BAS). It’s the perfect tool that allows you to use the plethora of Modbus RTU devices available in your BACnet/IP Building Automation Systems.
Best of all the product is Made in the USA, is always in stock and comes with a 5 year warranty.
For most applications the mapping is very straight forward. Modbus RTU register data is mapped to BACnet/IP analog objects and Modbus RTU coil data is mapped to binary objects in BACnet/IP. The only additional piece required for BACnet is adding meta data which is nothing more than an ASCII description of each object. No other deep understanding of either protocol is required to configure the gateway.
It really is that simple.
If you are connecting a power meter, generator or power device there is a very good chance we have a template for you. These templates make configuration as easy as loading a file. Give us a call to include templates with your gateway at no additional charge.
The 460MMBS provides an option to access Modbus RTU Slave devices on your BACnet/IP system. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait.We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
