How Does the 460MMSC Protocol Gateway Move Data In and Out of the S7 PLC?
In your Siemens S7 PLC, you allocate two data areas:
- A user-defined set of output addresses for sending data to your Modbus RTU server (slave) devices
- A user-defined set of input-only addresses for receiving data from your Modbus RTU server (slave) devices
Using a browser-based interface, you directly map Modbus RTU server register and coil data into the designated Input (I), Output (Q) and Data Blocks (DB) within the data table of your Siemens S7 PLC.
Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Modify each data mapping with up to three mathematical functions.
