Deliver Data from Your Modbus RTU Master to an ASCII Based System or Controller
The 460MRSA moves data between a Modbus RTU Master device and Serial ASCII. It’s a great tool to connect Modbus RTU controllers into your PC or embedded applications that support serial ASCII data.
Best of all the product is Made in the USA, is always in stock and comes with a 5 year warranty.
How Does it Work?
Register and coil data from your Modbus RTU Master is concatenated in an ASCII string of data and delivered over the serial port. Data from ASCII devices can be parsed into up to 50 segments. Each segment can be assigned a data type and then delivered to user defined register and coil locations in Modbus.
Need to scale your data or manipulate it with other math functions? The 460MRSA allows you to add scaling to any data, apply simple math operations, add alarming and control the request speeds of your Master device.
Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460MRSA provides an option to connect Modbus controllers with an ASCII based system. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering solutions like ours, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations, even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and that doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because, that means, you mean more to us.
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
