Connect BACnet/IP Server Devices to a Modbus TCP/IP Client
The 460MSBC moves data between a network of up to 32 BACnet/IP Server devices and a Modbus TCP/IP Client. It’s a perfect tool to get your Modbus TCP/IP data tied in with your BACnet/IP devices.
How Do I Use the 460MSBC in My Application?
For most applications the mapping is very straight forward. Modbus register data is mapped to BACnet analog objects and Modbus coil data is mapped to binary objects in BACnet. The only additional piece required for BACnet is adding meta data which is nothing more than an ASCII description of each object. No other deep understanding of either protocol is required to configure the gateway.
It really is that simple.
Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460MSBC provides an option to access BACnet/IP Server data on your Modbus TCP/IP Client. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations, even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us. Try the RTA difference today!
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
