The Allen-Bradley 1761-NET-ENI has met its end of life. It was a good run but the powers that be are pulling the plug and taking another step to move customers away from legacy PLCs. The problem for you is that you aren’t ready to say goodbye to the 1761-NET-ENI. You have lots of machines reliant on legacy PLCs and need to milk every last drop of function out of them. Without the 1761-NET-ENI, that job would be a lot more challenging.
That’s right, Real Time Automation is here to save your customers with the 515RTAENI, designed to be a replacement for the 1761-NET-ENI. It features browser-based configuration and diagnostics and support for up to 6 TCP/IP connections in each direction. It also exposes additional data transfer options the NET-ENI never allowed. It encompasses many of the Allen-Bradley 1761-NET-ENI and the Allen-Bradley 1761-NET-ENIW features in one solution!
Best of all, it’s the module you need to keep your systems running until it makes sense for them to move to a new architecture. With most of the same features as the 1761-NET-ENI, you can keep processes and systems running without missing a beat. You can even use the 1761-Net-ENI configuration software if you like (though we think our new browser configuration is superior). The 515RTAENI is designed to make the transition as seamless as possible.
The 515RTAENI provides an option to add Ethernet communications to legacy Allen-Bradley PLCs. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.
When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations, even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24-hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
